A shared view of every moving part.
A consumer platform that connects the value of a chosen cryptocurrency with the familiarity of a retail brand. People select a cryptocurrency and a participating brand to create a branded card, fund it, follow its balance and gain/loss movement, and share it with someone else. A separate operations console manages the catalogue, pricing rules, promotions, and support workflows behind the experience.
Target users
People who want to put cryptocurrency to practical use with familiar retail brands, gift recipients, and operations teams responsible for the card catalogue and service delivery.
Business problem
Cryptocurrency can be difficult to translate into everyday purchasing and meaningful gifts. People need a simple way to connect crypto value with places they already know how to shop, without navigating fragmented tools or losing sight of their card balance. At the same time, the service needs precise operational control over participating brands, supported cryptocurrencies, fees, promotions, and account activity.
Solution
We created a guided card-building experience: choose a participating brand, pair it with a supported cryptocurrency, set the funding amount, and receive a branded digital card. The app makes the relationship between crypto value, current card balance, and gain/loss easy to understand, while sharing and recipient flows make the card suitable for gifting. A companion admin console gives authorised teams the controls to operate the programme safely.

Architecture
Two Vue single-page applications, one for consumers and one for authorised operations staff, communicate with a shared GraphQL API through Apollo Client. Pinia manages client-side workflow state, while the API layer coordinates identity, payment, card-account, cryptocurrency, and notification services. The applications use role-aware routing and separate operational controls from consumer journeys.

Challenges
The product needed to make a cryptocurrency-backed financial product feel as familiar as choosing a gift card, while still showing users the value movement that matters. Key engineering challenges included keeping brand, cryptocurrency, card, and balance states consistent across multiple flows; handling identity-verification outcomes safely; calculating fees before funding; protecting administrative controls; and presenting provider activity in a useful support interface.
